The following applies to the these applications: Production Control - version 7.0.46 and later
The "Pay Item" feature allows price units for various categories of work within a Production Control job. Pay Items apply to an entire shipping assembly and the price unit can be per lb., per lin. ft., per sq. ft. or per each. Each Pay Item price category consists of a 5 character code, a 24 character description, a price unit and a price method (per lb., lin. ft., sq. ft. or each). There is no limit to the number of Pay Item price categories you can have for a job. To implement Pay Items for a job: 1) Select the menu option Edit | Job Title. 2) At the "2) Extra Fields" tab, check the box at Use Pay Item Codes. 3) Enter your Pay Item categories at the "5) Pay Item Codes" tab. Once implemented, you will be prompted for a Pay Item code for each shipping piece entry on the shop bill of material. Valid Pay Item codes must have been previously entered at step 3 above. If the pay item's price method is per lin. ft., the SBOM entry must include a valid length. If the pay item's price method is per sq.ft., the SBOM entry must include a valid width and length. If the price method is per lb. and the shipping assembly does not contain weights, an error will not be generated but a price would not be calculated for that item. If the Pay Item categories are revised after the SBOM has been entered, use the menu selection Maintenance | Check Data Files Integrity then check the box at "Recalculate SBOM weights". Running this routine will update your SBOM with the revised Pay Item data. A Pay Item Summary report is available through the shipping ticket print option. The report will list items on the selected shipping ticket with price extensions.
